So who is Truman? He is one of the Good to Great CEOs mentioned in Jim Collins book "Good to Great". I like this book because unlike most business books, this not an autobiography, but rather a gathering of data (by Collins' reasearch team).
If you don't feel like buying yet another b book but want to get the gist of what his book is about check out his website. A lot of his important points are in his laboratory section.

As it turns out, what it takes to be a great CEO is really a great human being. Being able to not take the glory and let others shine is counter to climbing the ladders.
The book is an eye opener. I'm reading it again.
