This morning i got up early to vote and was pleasantly surprised to see that waking up early really DOES matter. I was there at 7:45am and there were only 4 people in front of me which meant I was out of there by 8:05am. By the time I left the line was 10 times bigger than when i arrived - I love that feeling :).
In case you haven't voted yet, don't forget that there are two votes:
1) One will ask you to vote for your local candidate.
2) The other will ask whether you think B.C. should adopt a new way of electing MLAs known as the single transferable vote, or BC-STV. If you want to learn more about what the new system is all about before you vote, you can call the government's Referendum Information Office at 1-800-668-2800, or check out its website at http://www.gov.bc.ca/referendum_info/
Get out and vote...
